Chagas Disease is an anthropozoonosis, caused by a trypanosomatida, of the Trypanosoma cruzi species, characterized by being an endemic, parasitic and biphasic clinical course disease, which may be manifested in undetermined, cardiac, digestive or cardiodigestive forms. To present a literature review about Chagas Disease proposing reflection on nursing attention in this context. This is a literature review, developed from articles indexed in BDENF, MEDLINE, and LILACS databases. Chronic patient has loss in the quality of life. Vector transmission is related to chronic cases. Oral transmission is the most worrying in the North of the country, being açaí the main food. Nursing care should improve the patient’s quality of life. It is suggested to invest in awareness and training strategies for nursing professionals aiming to instrumentalize them for a better assistence.
